Make a toner using lemon juice, rose water and cucumber juice. Apply the mixture on the face and neck. Lemon will reduce the tan and cucumber juice will soothe and cool the skin.

Mix together honey and lemon juice in equal quantities. Apply it on the face and neck and wash it off after 30 minutes. This is by far the best anti sun tan face pack I’ve tried.

Exfoliation helps to get rid of tan quickly by removing dead cell on the skin to reveal new skin underneath. Prepare a mixture of oats and buttermilk. Rub this mixture on tanned and burnt areas like face, hands and neck. Oats will exfoliate the skin while buttermilk will soothe the affected areas.

A regular application of fresh coconut water will also help to reduce tan. It will also make the skin smooth, supple and blemish free with regular usage.

Papaya is well known to treat tanned skin and gives a young and youthful skin. Mash the papaya pulp and massage it on the tanned areas. You can even mix a pinch of soda bicarbonate and salt to mashed papaya. Mix it will to form a scrub like paste. Apply it on the face and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it off by lightly massaging the skin.

Yoghurt works amazingly to treat sun tan. Mix some yoghurt with gram flour and lemon juice and make a fine paste of it. Apply this pack on the face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes. This face pack will surely reduce the tanning to a great extent.

Take a few aloe vera leaves and squeeze the gel from the leaves. Apply the gel on tanned skin and leave it overnight. This will reduce skin discoloration and soothe burnt skin. Remember to never apply aloe vera gel while going out in the sun as it can make the skin darker.

Prepare a paste by mixing equal quantities of milk powder, lemon juice and honey. Apply this paste on the face and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it off with tap water and pat dry.

Sandalwood is a magical ingredient which lightens the skin tone and soothes burning sensation. Take 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder and mix it with milk. Apply the face pack all over the face and hands. Make sure that the powder is of the best quality. It would be best if you make your own sandalwood powder by rubbing sandalwood on a stone lab.
